What time is check in/check out?
Check in is at 2pm and check out is at 11.00am

Do you have parking?
Yes, at the rear of the hotel and can be accessed through the archway

How early can I check out?
Reception opens at 7am

Is smoking allowed in the rooms?
We operate a no smoking policy throughout the hotel. Outside ashtrays are provided.

Do you have Wi-fi available?
Wi-fi is available, however this is chargeable. Please ask a member of staff for more information.

Do you have a pool?
Unfortunately not, we do however have a Spa pool and sauna

What are the opening hours of the fitness suite?
The fitness suite is open from 8am to 8pm for residents

What is your cancellation policy?
Should you wish to cancel your room, please do so before 2pm 48 hours before scheduled arrival. Late cancellation and non arrival will result in a charge of the first nights’ accommodation and subsequent nights being released.

Do you take a deposit?
When you reserve a room we ask for credit card details to secure the booking. Nothing is taken from your card the details are merely held on file until your arrival and deleted when you check out. You can pay however you prefer when you depart. Your details are held on a secure system and in accordance with the Data Protection Act.

What forms of payment are accepted?
We accept cash, cheque, Visa, Visa debit, Mastercard, Solo, Maestro and Switch. Should you have any queries about payment methods then please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Are pets allowed?
Unfortunately we don’t allow pets in our bedrooms. Guide dogs are permitted in the public areas and in our disabled friendly bedroom.

I want to arrange for flowers, chocolates or champagne to be put in my room how do I go about this?
Please let us know about any special requirement/requests you may have. We can either arrange these for you or put you in touch with local companies who can help.

Can you accommodate disabled guests?
We have a disabled friendly ground floor room which has a wet room. All our public bar and lounge areas are on the ground floor. Our restaurant has disabled access.

What are the bar/restaurant opening times?
Breakfast is served in our conservatory between 7.30am and 9.30am (except as busy times when it may be in the restaurant)
Lunches are served in our restaurant and bars between 12pm and 2.30pm
Evening meals are served in our restaurant and bars between 6.00pm and 9.00pm

Do residents need to book a table in the restaurant?
Whilst we always put our residents first, our restaurant can get quite busy (especially at weekends) so we advise you to notify us at the time of your booking if you require a table, in particular if non-residents will be joining you.

This hotel was superb. We have been in hotels worldwide and I can honestly say that this one is one of the best. It has been modernised very tastefully without taking away the atmosphere of age. (300 yrs old). The staff are extremely friendly without being gushing and nothing was too much trouble. And it is such a beautiful part of Wales; we will be going again at the first opportunity.
